Dempster highway trip

Hi all

Planning a trip from colorado along the great continental divide route to the Dempster Highway. Obviously, I'll be needing tires before the end of the trip. Can anyone recommend places in Whitehorse or Dawson City that will accept delivery of tires or that has a decent selection of tires on hand? thanks for the help.

I'm betting you won't need tires on your way back. If you start with a new set of Heidenau or Mitas you should be ok.

In 2017 my GS riding friend shipped a set of tires to Whitehorse via FEDEX. Shipping was as much as the tires.
Whitehorse has 3 Motorcycle dealers, Yamaha, Kawasaki, and Honda. You will spend less money buying a set of tires from one of those dealers rather than shipping them up there from Estados Unidos. Additionally, they will be much more inclined to fit you in for the mount and balance. I bought tires for my KLR from the Kawasaki dealer, if you want him to have what you want you'll need to contact him now as they order tires in bulk early in the season. YMMV

There is a gentleman called "The Dick" in Dawson City, check him out on ADVriders Alaska Thread. The Dick has been known to accept tires for folks and to change them on his tire machine in return for a bottle or two of good old vine Zinfandel. Worth your time to investigate https://advrider.com/f/members/the-dick.3861/

The Dick does not suffer fools.
