2007 BMW R1200 GS - Huntsville, Tx.

So I am offering up for sale my trusty 2007 BMW R1200 GS.

I am the third owner I believe. I bought it in 2015 from another TWT member with about 17K miles on it.

This is NOT a garage queen, but it has been taken care of and is ready to go anywhere! There are no outstanding recalls or service bulletins on it that I am aware of. I can provide VIN so dealer can check. After I bought it, I had the rear wheel hub recall done and a new oil sight glass installed because the original was leaking.

I've always run Mobile 1 full synthetic in it.

I have a clear Texas title in hand in my name.

I DO NOT have the stock exhaust, grab rails, seat, or tool kit. The bike did not have the OEM kit when I bought it. So my general tool kit does not go with it, just the bits specific to this bike. I do have the BMW spark plug socket, the funky little tools for removing the oil filler cap, and the spark plug pulling gadget.

The tires are at the end of their life. I have another TKC 80 front about half used and a Shinko 805 rear half used that I will mount if desired. Or, I will just give them to you. I like to start trips with a new set of tires, so these are just tires I removed before my last trip. I usually remount them to use them up once the tires from the trip are gone.

Asking price: $7000

The top case shown in the image is NOT included, side cases ARE included.

MANY more pics, including shots of side cases, can be seen here.

If you look in many of the pictures, you will see the PIAA lights mounted to a long round silver bar. It was junk. It wouldn't stay in place and the mounts eventually broke. I replaced it with one of these,

https://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/...00gs-adventure

This mounts MUCH better! Also, it pulled the lights in a bit closer to the fender so they don't stick out so far. This makes it less likely they will get hit in a drop.

(my pics are big and this site doesn't scale them down automagically, so I will just link you to them)

Here is the old mount,

These two pics show the bike with the new mount,

Added a new Shinko 805 rear and TKC 80 Front a few weeks ago.

Mileage has not gone up since then as I have a new bike I am riding.

Price lowered to $7250

Thumbs up

Alrighty... Price dropped to $7K. Any lower and I am gonna have to start stripping off the goodies and sell them separate, which I'd hate to do because the bike is so well setup right now. If you have been thinking about it, give me a holler and come see it in person. Summer is almost here and it is time for you to get out there on an adventure!

Not in the market for another GS (I already have a perfectly serviceable '06), but would love to see that photo of "my big pig wallowing in this" that you mentioned...

Whizzy brakes, no FD drain plug, what's not to like?

Where did I mention it? On the TWT site? Got a link?

Yeah, TWT site. To be exact, just before the tenth picture of post #5, you said, "Jfink has a pic of my big pig wallowing in this... I will let him share it." I am intrigued...

Some damn fine pictures in that string, by the way. Is that "Skyline Drive" the one vaguely SSE of Salt Lake City, running more or less parallel to US 89? I found that in my Benchmark Maps Utah atlas and was intrigued by the idea of a dirt road in Utah that wouldn't be 100 degrees in August...
