Hmm, that is a good question.

Are you familiar with Eurosport Asheville (BMW Motorcycles of Asheville)? They are a dealer of ours, and I'm not quite sure, but perhaps they may have one of the mounting systems/tank bags on hand.

Tank Bag

Thank you very much for your response. I have not seen theses bags and would be interested in seeing how they are constructed and how they fit on my bike - there are a lot of variables to consider and pictures, while helpful, are not enough.

Are any available in the area (Asheville, NC) to see? How else might I get my hands on one to check out?

Have you ever heard of the Hepco & Becker Lock-it Tank Ring System?

Here is a brief video explaining how it works!

The tank bag is basically held in place by two industrial strength magnets, and can only be detached by pulling the draw cord, which reverses the polarity of the bonding magnets, thus naturally repelling it.

H&B make 6 different sized tank bags that fit onto this tank ring.

Tank Bag Research Question

I just picked up a '15 1200GS and am looking for a tank bag with gas cap locking ring or gas cap magnets.

I am familiar with SWMotech but has anyone installed a GIVI in this configuration? Any problems with bar clearance, unsightly gaps or other issues? Any other bags I may not be aware of?
