bjbabove45th When I first saw the gold spokes I also was not a fan. Having had the black spoked wheels on my 800GS Trophy and a black frame also, I can tell you that if you ride off pavement as much as I do the black is always dusty looking. I much prefer my 1200GS silver spokes which don’t show the dirt. A well ridden GS should look well ridden.

judgedelta If you want to see how well black and gold go together, watch the prelude to the Saints' game on Sunday...

Options if you prefer static balance = clamp/crimp on spoke weights or wrap 95/5 solder around the spokes.

I hate the look of wheel weights and opt for CounterAct balance beads.

jjscsix And nobody has updated this thread with what actually came on them. The only GSs that actually come with gold wheels is the white/blue version. I can't remember what the call that version offhand.

Glenfiddich I was at the dealer yesterday picking up a few maintenance supplies. Saw the gold wheels on a new R1250. Just about gagged. Fugly!
