History
Simple story. Wanted a better long distance ride after taking the Fizzer to PEI and back. Did a lot of demo rides in 2016: K1600GT, R1200RT (twice), R1200GS (twice). Settled on the GS, but there weren't any available in my spec (Frozen Dark Blue Metallic, factory lowered, all the gadgets) so I was going to wait for a 2017. Last minute someone else backed out of a buy, but the bike had already been delivered and was sitting in its crate waiting for someone to take it home. I took it home.

Drivetrain
Has the BMW cross spoke wheels. Replaced the Anakee 3s with Metzeler Roadtec 01s, which I absolutely love. Recently installed my first set up 50/50 tires: Anlas Capra X. I don't know enough about offroad oriented tires and riding to offer much of an opinion on them.
Exterior
Techspec snake skin tank grips.
Audio
All the stock electronic gadgetry, pro ride modes, ESA, DSC, etc.
Suspension
I had a full Vario bag setup. Then I had a little slide out and destroyed the left bag. May or may not replace it.
Has Shift Assist Pro, which I did not think I'd care about or ever use. I was wrong. I love the quickshifter and use it for the vast majority of my shifting.
