Loving this bike so far, such a smooth ride. had a side stand switch issue first week, which the dealer sorted no problem. got a couple of newbie ??
firstly, its my first garmin and i have no idea how to remove it from its mounting..i know...sad !

I just picked up a 2016 R1200 GS with 25k KM on the clock.
I've ridden the last few days no problems, but after a ride today I hear this squeak when turning on the ignition. Sounds like it's coming from the exhaust but not 100% sure.
Has anyone heard this? Any idea what could be...
I am looking at buying a 1200 GS 2011 model that has a Hat-Tech exhaust system fitted.
I like how the system sounds but don't know what other impact it has on the bike.
It is unusual in that it has twin pipes at the back rather then one.
Is anyone familiar with these?

I've ordered a new R1200GSA just waiting for delivery. I'm considering having a Akrapovic Silencer fitted. It's lighter, with slight power improvement and I'm told it sounds great...but quite expensive at AUD1300.
I'd appreciate any feedback and recommendations.
