I recommend engine oil.

I've heard avocado oil is the new fad, but yet to be fully tested.

Previous posts looks like you have a 2009, so any non-motorcycle oil will do. Not sure of your mileage, I'm a fan of the high mileage oils in my autos to keep seals in good shape, my 07 GSA will get Castrol High Mileage 20w50 at next change but realistically any name brand will do.

Your riders manual will have a chart of acceptable viscosities based on ambient temp (my 07 below), one winter I ran 10w40 in my 07 and only downside was pushing the limit temp-wise when I got into July as I hadn't put a lot of miles on that oil. Even the standard 20w is good down to freezing although you'd want to give it a minute or two to warm while the valve train clatters.
