Hi after arriving home after a recent ride I found the pillion seat just wouldn't lock down on close inspection looks like part of pillion locking stud snapped of I guess it's the problem as anyone any ideas on a temporary fix or does the plastic locking stud unscrew and I can buy a replacement from my local bmw dealer. 20200325_183637.jpg

MaxBMW has the best parts fiche to see if the part is replaceable. In general it seems the seat locking mechanisms are weak design.

Be careful with Max’s site. Their parts fiche wasn’t up to date and the prices for the parts were incorrect. I called them to get the right part # and price. Better go to realOEM.com. Then go to MAX for the price and order.
