Time for new brake pads for my 2015 GS, originals have lasted 55,000km. Any advice on OEM vs aftermarket ? Nearest dealer is 400km away.

EBC installed them on my 16 GS, they work great no noises eazy to install and 1/3 of the price of factory pads.

Having use HH to Kevlar on most every bike I have owned it seems trying to find a balance in rotor wear/dust/initial bite and fade. I recently swapped out the OEM HHs on my '17 GSA for the new EBC V pads as I have never really learned to like the way HHs grab and chew up my rotors. I am late braker BTW. I liked the feel of the Vs so much I put them on my Duc 848 and '85 GPz Turbo. They took about 200 miles to bed into the the old GPz, but the Duc and BMW were immediate. I left the Galfer Greens (kevlar) on the KTM for now. Dust seems to be way down and the bite is great with nearly no fade.

OEM vs Aftermarket

Thanks for the advice, the price seals the deal. The only downside to the aftermarket pads is the lack of slots cut into the pads, it gives an easy visual on wear.

I feel you on the slot, but being orange, they are fairly easy to see the pads. Also, here is the P/Ns- Fronts are EBC FA630V, Rears are EBC FAV209/2V

Double check the rear pads before purchase. For my 2013 GS (LC but not GSA) the rear pads were EBC FA209/2HH. The FA363HH were too small and deff wrong. Just went through this last week after several posts reccomended the pads that didn't fit for me.

Hi guys,

I use for my GS 2010 the red Brembo brake pads.
They are much better then the oem brake pads.
The biggest differnts is that the Brembo pads are much more linear in braking power, I mean that a bit
sqweezing the handle means a bit braking, and harder sqweezing means harder braking,
while the oem pads where non linear, those where much more 'all or nothing' so to speak.

I have used the EBC brakepads in the past too and they needed to be warmed up, to give very good braking
performance. With the Brembo pads that was gone.

(sorry for my bad english)

That's what my 2014 GS LC uses.
