Hi, I have removed the front cover on my ,05 r1200gs. In doing so, the compensator gear and shaft got dislodged. Is there a specific sequence to replace above mentioned?

Thanks for spotting my mistake Barab42. I could not find nothing conclusive but I'm pretty sure that the compensator shaft in the boxer motors turns in the opposite direction and reduce the torque reaction from the crankshaft inertia.

I wasn’t trying to correct you, just putting it in terms that my simple mind can understand better.

Hi ChrisK, I've extracted some procedures from the BMW RSD (Repais and Service Data), they probably apply to your bike (there was an update in the comp. shaft bearings around your year so it might also be a little different.

Let me know if you need more procedures.
