I carry a tire plug kit with me at all times. The sticky worms are the best.
I tested one just like this before my trip to Alaska. It works very well but it's heavy and a bit bulky. It does come in handy around the house when I just want to top off my tires and I like that you can set the pressure to stop at. However when I pack for a log trip every ounce matters. While there are literally dozens of inflators choose from, I settled on this one and carry it all the time (along with a couple of repair kits, including Nealey and Slime):
It’s worked well for me just topping off the pressure; haven’t tried it yet on a full inflate, but I imagine it’s up to the task.
