I've had many sport touring bikes over the years and even a Super Tenere a few years back, but never really got into adventure riding, however a recent move down to Southern Arizona led me to sell the RT and try a GS. I couldn't even ride the RT in the sweltering summer heat and the GS is a definite improvement, not to mention it can take me down the numerous dirt roads we have here.

I bought a well cared for 2013 with only 10K on it, and it came with a lot of goodies - Staintune exhaust, engine guards, Vario cases, Denali lights and Heidenau tires. Sort of pre-farkeled, haha. It handles really well on pavement and yesterday I took it over Redington Pass - a rutted and rocky 22 mile dirt road with some sand and water crossings thrown in. It was a blast! Thank God for those tires is all I will say.

Look forward to participating here.
