Hi,l have a 2008 R1200 GS.Its been Stored for about six months.A couple days ago l got the bike
out to give it a check over and noticed l had no front break.I could pull the lever until it touched the
handle bar.No resistance at all.The front wheel is free.Could it be the piston has ceased if so any ideas
on how to free it.

ABS or not ?
Any error/warning messages ?
Start by checking brake fluid level.

You completely lost the fluid pressure in the system. Does it make any difference if you pump you brake on lever 5-6 times? If you start feeling pressure after that, then you have massive air bubble in the system. In 90% os the cases it's air in the system. Cheap to check by pumping or completely replacing brake fluid. If it doesn't help then you may need new master cylinder or try to rebuild yours.
I wouldn't bet on ceased piston as that would still give you resistance on the brake lever.

I have tried doing that and no difference at all.Going to take it to a local garage and put it on the diagnosis M/C
and find the fault that way. Thanks for your help.
