I'm getting more comfortable with my '07 GS after about 6 months of owning the beast, and wanted to try some novice-level offroading up at Ballinger Canyon OHV in California (Badlands-type land, mostly hard-pack trails from the descriptions.) I am currently riding on Heidenau K76's, advertised as a 90/10 tire.

Does anyone else have experience with these tires on this sort of terrain? (Or stated differently, how many folks out there are getting a good chuckle out of the question?) Thanks!

i too think that the k76 will do very very well.

just jump on the trail, keep your hands light on the handle bars and do not correct it. :D.

good luck

On the firm ground you'll be fine, bike is very capable..just stay out of the deep soft sand...

Loving my 07 also..just swapped all the fluids and ready to pile on some miles ..picked mine up with 12000 miles..that's gonna change quick..
