That is serious. What year is your bike? If it's candidate for driveshaft vent hole installation (Service Action 0033130000), I'd take those photos to the dealer and they may install new driveshaft free of charge.
Just make sure you clean everything well and apply grease on the splines front and rear and on the U-joint. Then the other grease to seal both rubber boots.

hi iv greased well and put new boots on bike will report too bmw when I go again my bike is a 68 plate thanks

Sorry don’t come on forum much my bike is a gsa 1200 18 plate iv grease up well and put 2 new boots on will pop to bmw and see what they say thanksn

As being 2018 I think it's part of BMW's campain to fit the valve on driveshaft housing. I've heard that they test the driveshaft and replace it if it shows any slack. Bikes with more then 40.000 miles get new shaft without any tests performed. Show them the photos. Your shaft doesn't look good and it's because the water coudn't be drained from the housing.

Rang bmw I have too phone them and they will strip take a look and sort the problem my bike has done 45000 thanks for all help on problem

Replaced failed driveshaft early June 2022 on 2016 R1200 GSA with just 30,000 miles. Cost over $1600! Contacted BMW and they said it was out of warranty so no reimbursement. Hopefully they will now reconsider.

Mine has done 45000 iv only rode in rain no off road . Booked in too bmw on 24th sept can’t get me in any earlier . Won’t be getting any money out of me as it’s there problem there on about doing a stress test on it first .I will see what they say . Iv had apart so will know if they do look at it . Also going too mark stuff up so I can tell if been apart as no trust with any garages Bike or Car.
