Just purchased a 2007

Lots of bigger guys ride GS's with no issue. GS actually facilitate bigger riders pretty well.

Good news is if you do not end up meshing with your GS it is a desirable bike and will be easy to sell.

You'll love it. But is is different than a cruiser especially at low speeds. When you go off road completely avoid gravel mud and sand until you are very comfortable with its high weight
