Never had a k1600B but did own a 2012 and then a 2016 GTL and the 1200GSA at the same time. When it became time to sell one and keep one I choose the 1200GSA because of it 's versatility. Its a great bike for touring or exploring gravel roads. With the optional side panniers and a top box, camping and hauling gear is easy.

Honestly never gave the GS a look
but once I took it for a test ride- it opened my eyes...lol
had a Multistrada pikes peak but didn't feel it was comfortable for touring more of a sport bike on stilts
so after that bike I never looked at another ADV bike
comparing the GS to the MTS gotta say Ducati should take some notes
