I realize these aren't the most popular tires with some - particularly those who feel they generate excessive noise on road.

And, as with any 90/10 street tire, the ones that came stock on my R1250GS would not be my first (or 50th) choice for gnarly off-road conditions. However, their wet and dry on-road performance has thus far been exceptional. Admittedly, those who say they're loud have a point but in my experience the noise can be substantially mitigated (or ever eliminated) with proper hearing protection.

Anyway, thought I'd pass along a special offer received from Revzilla this morning who's blowing them out at $121.66 ($286.95 Retail) for the REAR (170/60R17 72V). The FRONT (120/70R19 60V) is on sale for $96.18 ($228.95 Retail).

Don't get lulled into the 56% off. Revzilla "special" price is $120 for a front tire. 2wheel.com everyday price is $122 + they give you points that equate to about $5 or $6 dollars.
