Bummer, sorry for the loss and damage. I hope you find the culprits and the method they used. Keep us posted when you get answers from the police.
That’s gonna hurt.Hey everyone,
I'm still trying to figure out what happened.
I park my bike on a "public" Indigo garage, in Paris (they have a clerk overnight and cameras 24/7, so i assumed it was safer than street-side parking).
I went back to my bike this morning and saw a weird deep and wide scratch on the topcase and suddenly it hit me that the topcase was actually open.
They stole my Shoei helmet with a new Sena SRL Mesh.
The weird part is that the TopCase was not forced (or at least doesn't look like it). It opens and closes fine, it just has this scratch next to the opening section, but it doesn't look like they forced it.
I've never in my life left it open with my helmet on it.. but maybe I did last night for the first time and coinsidentally someone tried to open it and it was unlocked?
So, my question is.. are they easy to open/crack/force?
I filed a report at the police and they told me they'll look into the cameras, etc. I'm more eager to see how the hell they opened the topcase than to see who did it.
