Two years ago... turns out, if your (water cooled) GS tips over at a gas station (say, because you weren't paying attention and you didn't fully extend your kickstand) and the bike is positioned just right, then the cylinder head will just miss the pump's concrete island and the edge of the concrete island will shear your injector right off.

$1,600CAD repair. Install those crash bars kids. (I still haven't installed crash bars).

Can I just add how weird it is that a bike marketed the way the GS is marketed has this fragile component sticking out the sides where any stout log, or someone opening a car door, could destroy it, protected only by a pretty flimsy piece of plastic?
