New to adventure biking. So far I am impressed with the R1200GSA as a commuter. My commute is 60 miles per day in challenging traffic and I have come to appreciate the GSA’s maneuverability and power. Hope to do a cross-country trio this fall.

Welcome to the forum

Welcome! I just recently joined as well. I'm BoulderBuckeye and ride a 2014 R1200 GS after having spent the last 12 years on an 06 Yamaha FJR1300. Loved that bike. But the GS called my name to ride the fire roads here in Colorado. The forum is great - very useful. Again, welcome.

Congratulations on your new-to-you GSA! I also have an '07 GS. I did a 75 mile one way commute in all weather for many years. I had a '99 R1100RT, an '04 K12RS and a '10 K12S. I wish you luck in your commute. They tried to kill me twice.

Hexhead are great bike and the 2007 being a very good choice. Last year of the old body style and no more servo ABS. The GSA's offer a good amount of wind/weather protection almost to the point where in the summer they offer too much.

You got a nice bike, enjoy and be safe.
