When a buddy swapped his front signals out for a shorter set, I realized how annoyingly long my fronts were and decided they looked bad.

But rather than give my friends in Bavaria $90 and spend 3 hours ripping the bike apart as the YouTube mechanics suggest, I turned to Amazon and grabbed a set of generic European style for $20 and went to work.

Started out by removing the lenses, then popped the reflectors in all of 45 seconds. Noted the wire order, and slipped the tabs loose.

After running a drill bit through the new ones (wire channel was too thin), slipped the wires right thru. Needed to crimp the connection ever slightly since the tabs on the new were a bit thinner (yeah, the Chinese models are lower quality than the German), but then they bolted right up.

Left vs right (before and after) and with the new.

Again, you'll need to open up the wire channel a drop and maybe tighten up the crimp, but for $20 the 5m of minimal work was well worth it.
