If you see that the beads are abnormally close due to being crushed in shipping or storage, then spread the beads with four blocks of 2x4 cut to the appropriate size. Get the tire as warm as you can and let it cool to set the new bead width.

These tires are notorious for not wanting to seal on the bead (because they don't reach!!). They usually ship with cardboard inserts to hold the sidewalls apart during shipping. Obviously you are refitting these so I would suggest cutting some short lengths of wood and wedging them in between the beads and hopefully lying the tire in the sun (if you have any) for a few hours. Hopefully it will hold its shape long enough for you to be able to install it.
