Has anybody purchased the AlliExpress top case for 1250/1200? It's like 100 bucks including mount rack and needed hardware. Lone Rider's version is 10X this and I know I will not get 10X the pleasure.

It's a top case and this Alli units looks pretty rugged.

I have one from Amazon (probably Aliexpress, only more expensive) and very happy with it. Yes, you need "another" key, but over $700 for a BMW top box is not going to happen, plus I have a building key and a "dumb" BMW key for the seat and GPS lock, so what's another key that sets in the "glove box". I did upgrade the hardware to better stainless fasteners...just for peace of mind, as what was provided didn't look good enough. I do know a couple other guys that have them mounted with those components and years later no issues...you also get a nice, padded interior with it as well...has an interesting smell to it, but that's gone after a couple days.

Thanks GE. I see on Amazon. Curious what size you bought? Leaning towards 35L as I want something for local rides with no need for Vario panniers.

45L...full size helmet will fit in it, although I purchased a diaper caddy that fits perfect, keeps stuff from rolling around and beating against each other. Another option...I had a Harbor Freight "pelican" box mounted...worked perfect for what I was using it for, think it was the 3800...took an hour or so to figure out where to drill the holes and mount...if it was the bigger box I probably would not have gotten the one I have.

Easily worth 100 bucks. Added large displacement washers to the screws heads and drilled one add'l hole towards end of BMW rack for one more plate mount. Clean. Recommended!
