Hej,

I recently became a happy owner of a 2011GS.

In 2 months time the abs warning came on 5 times. Bought a OBD dongle (UniCarScan UCSI-2100 Diagnoseadapter) and the MotoScan app, for a total of ca 130 euro. Works great by the way.
I Read rear speed sensor failures. Makes sense since the speedometer says zero for a short while when it happens. After a couple of minutes there is speed in the meter again. I can erase the errors with the OBD dongle, and then the abs works again, too. The dongle saves a lot of longer distance dealership contact in erasing the codes.
The error occurs on strange moments, like doing 140kmh overtaking, giving a highbeam signal, and also spontaneously.
I wonder what to to next. Just change the sensor (135 euro) and pray?
There were no recent repairs at the rearwheel, and no rough handling as far as I know. The wire from the sensor seems intact.
Installed a new battery to rule out low voltage electronics glitches.
Any other ideas? Are these sensors known to have hickups?
thanks!
