Any oil that meets specifications in the riders manual should be fine, and on a 2012 a motorcycle specific (JASO) oil should not be required.

I’d change to a different oil and see what the result is.

With an oil burning issue on an oil cooled boxer I’d change up to a good quality 20w50 and see if it improves. As a general rule a thicker oil will be more resistant to oil burn off.

As mentioned issue may be big enough mechanical problem a switch in oil may not help.

I have to send to a good service .
Thankyou
I wouldn’t mess with any shop, changing the oil is incredibly easy.

Buy a good gallon on 20w50 (semi-synthetic is fine), pull the oil plug and refill. You don’t even need to mess with the oil filter at moment. You could know right away if the problem was the oil currently in the bikes sump. Here in USA 5 qts of Castrol Maxlife Semi-syn 20w50 is $23, with a decent additive package to help reduce oil burning.

I suspect when they sold you 5w40 they thought you had a liquid cooled GS rather than an oil cooled one.
