So, in full disclosure I am recovering from the Wuhan Flu and may have a bit of COVID Brain going on. That aside, a couple weeks ago I saw a advert for Conti TrailAttack 4 (yes four) and thought well that's a bit of all right, I'm needing some new rubber before the Florida riding season really kicks off on September.
After a quick look at the Continental site to see the specs, it looks like the TA4's are better than the 3's in the wet and about equal in the rest of the spider graph. So after a quick call to my BMW dealer to check on stock (no joy), I load up Revzilla and find them, after quite a bit of coaxing in the website, but it is Revzilla and the site has never been cracking good, so no worries. The tire size page shows they are in stock for front and rear for my '18 GSA and I go to add the front TA4 to the cart. Great, the stock report was correct. Not so much for the rear, that now says not in stock. Bugger. Oh well, I'll just leave the front tire in my cart, I'm logged in so it saves my cart, and I'll check in a few days for the rear.
I've checked a few times and the front is still in the cart but still no rear tire on Revzilla, but at the same time I'm not seeing much of anything on the TA4's elsewhere, a bit of odd. Today I checked again and now no TA4 front tire in the cart, not listed in Revzilla at all and odder still no Trail Attack 4 on the Conti site.
I'm wondering if somebody released the TA4 tire info too early and it's not in production yet. Don't think I'm loosing my mind, because even my BMW service manager looked at them when I called to see if his suppler carried them yet, before I went to Revzilla. They did not, (thus Revzilla) but perhaps now I know why?
