I have had my '05 GS for about 2 months now and love it, but have had 2 occasions that were troubling. If I have to park on a slope of any kind (unavoidable), the bike is leaned over too far for me to get it off the side stand when seated, especially when loaded with camping gear. I have had to dismount and walk the bike to a more level area of the road. I noticed this past weekend when on a ride with some friends that my GS leans much more when parked that any of their Triumphs and Japanese bikes. I have seen several options for larger pads, but they would only raise the bike maybe a quarter inch. Has anyone seen a substantial spacer available? I may need to fabricate something.

Way back when folks used a hockey puck as raw material for a side stand foot extension. This was popular with K75 owners.

There used to be an active non-forum section to this site. When the site was sold to the the current owners the old content was mostly ignored and links to the non-forum content went away after one of the site upgrades.
