That’s a shame - unfortunately the week after next doesn’t look good for me. A map for the Mass Trans Trail is available in newenglandriders.org and there is an article about it in ridermagazine.com - “Riding The Trains Mass Trail.” There is also a long discussion about it and a map in advrider.com. Let me know if you ride it - I’ll do the same.

Today and yesterday I rode the Mass Trans Trail, using the NER map, from Winsted to East Windsor - about 2/3s of the trail. It’s a mix of dirt, gravel and paved. The roads/trails are mostly in excellent condition, only a couple of spots of heavy gravel or soft dirt. Very few ruts. I have little off road experience and really enjoyed it. The scenery, 18th and 19th century farms, houses, cemeteries and deep forests, is fantastic.

Nothing to add but stayed in Sturbridge yesterday on our way back from Newfoundland and the traffic in Mass. is no joke. We woke up at 3:30am this morning to get out of Dodge before all the cars had time to regroup.
