Left work yesterday at 10:00am in anticipation of a My Washington run. Got to to Littleton NH around 7pm yesterday and holed up for the night. This morning at around 8:15am I lit out for t Washington. Temps were in the high 50s and 100% cloud cover. As I got closer to Mt Washington pockets of blue sky were poking through the cloud cover and by the time I got to Mt Washington the sky was a beautiful blue with hardly any clouds and temps in the low 70's.......perfecto! As i rolled up to the gate I was greeted by the gate keeper who informed me me that motorcycles were not allowed up the mountain today as the winds were in excess of 67 MPH. With a run to the summit blown to hell nothing to do but point the bike towards home and start the 659 mile journey home.

So a Mt Washington run will have to wait for another day. Still all good. Got 1300+ miles of riding in, what's not to love.

Cheers,

I’ve ridden to the top of Mt. Washington twice with clear skies and 30 mph winds. It is sort of like Pike’s Peak and Mt Blue Sky in Colorado…gotta have the weather in your favor for the accent.
Yes, two years ago made the summit of My Evans on my 1st try. The feller with us tried 2 or 3 time prior without success. Mt Washington is a 1000 miles closer so a 2nd ot 10th attempt is not out of the question.
