Tire confusion

I doubt TKC70 will be aggressive enough (wide enough gap between tread lugs) off pavement for what you mention.

Trailmax Mission and Mitas E-07+ are both 60/40 tires with big enough blocks to likely satisfy you on pavement.

Plenty of reviews on all these.
I agree about the TKC70 but not the new TKC70 Rocks.

The TKC70 Rocks is an excellent tire for what he described. Last year I and three others, completed the Smokey Mountain 500 on that tire and it hooked up on everything I came across, from mountain climbs to river crossings. One of the riders was Bill Conger, former chief motorcycle instructor at the BMW Performance Center, he used it for the first time and had nothing but praise for the tire.

I have a Trailmax Mission rear tire on now, the grip is comparable to the 70RocksI I'm using the Trailmax now not because of traction but because I can get more miles on it.

If I couldn't find a trailmax, I would put on a 70 without a concern.
