Touratech Toolbox install . . .

Looks like a neat installation with the spacers but I'd be concerned about bending loads on them. I'd probably fab a tension strap on top to avoid that, and fab some plates (or just use fender washers trimmed to fit) to use on the sides instead of the supplied washers. TT recommends removing the possum scraper from the wheel due to possible interference at extreme compression, do you think extending the box inboard risks contacting the swingarm?

FWIW, I've used the TT box on the OEM pannier brackets for several years now on a factory-lowered GSA. I don't do serious offroad so never bottom the suspension. The possum scraper disappeared somewhere in Labrador last summer but I attribute that to excess vibration due to only being secured with 2 screws because some bonehead (not me, really!) stripped the middle one during a tire change.

Thanks Enzo, I see what you did there to accommodate for the mounting pucks. I'm trying to understand this photo for that toolbox on eBay that shows it mounted up with no obvious rack in place?

I thought maybe it was using the upper attach points on the subframe of the bike but maybe they're just showing it positioned there and it still requires attachments to the rack?
My first thought is that this is a photoshop job. The whole point of the box is to use the space inboard of the non-exhaust side pannier, and in that photo the box is both too high and a good 3" further outboard than it needs to be.
