Sounds most likely that the mechanic mounting your tire mucked it up. The battery failing at that exact moment in time doesn’t make sense. This happened to me with my wife’s new winter tires a few years ago, which got shipped to the “recommended installer” in my area. The young mechanic showed me the freshly broken pieces and claimed it must have been like that before he touched it, lol. Fortunately the manager took one look at it and said sorry about that, we’ll fix it.
