Hello all.

Anyone had success installing a Brembo master cylinder on front brakes? Bike is a 2020 R1250GSA.

My reason is the brake lever is hitting my other fingers when I do 2-finger braking (which is what I’m used to).

Can I install specifically the Brembo 19RCS Corsa Corta (this is specifically what I’m used to)?

Cheers

Did you try adjusting your brake lever? You also have to bleed your brakes from time to time. Air gets in, I don't know how, but it does. The other thing to do is to pull the lever close to the handlebars and tie it with the cord or similar to the handlebars. Leave it like that over night and any air close to the master cylinder will get out. See if that makes the front brake better.
However, I think you need to do all of the things I mentioned and see if that improves the travel distance of the brake lever.

I agree with bosnjo, try both & I bet you have no more complaints. Mine was doing the same & a quick bleed ended that & firmed it right up. I adjust levers for reach not because my fingers are getting crunched & also only use one or two fingers for braking. The only bike I had that I had to adjust the lever way out was a Triumph RS that no matter what you did had a long take up before pressure was applied. It was the same on two of my friends Daytona's also with no apparent cure.

For your info and reference, in case you want to go this route, I have successfully installed a Brembo 17RCS Corsa Corta Master Cylinder, with only 1 (or 2) unusual modifications:

1. Since I cannot find any mirror clamp with female hole with 1.5mm thread, I went to a machine shop and have the mirror clamp portion on the OEM master cylinder-mirror-clamp-in-one cut, then just spray paint matt black the cut portion at the rear

2. The right mirror will be a bit towards the left by around half an inch. Ok with me since I removed the hand protection anyway (together with front fairing and wind deflectors for more air as I ride in the hottest of climates).

If you want to retain hand protectors, the dude in this YouTube video got it to work, and his video has helped me a lot in studying what to do and what will work:
