I tried searching and I'm still hopeful that there's already a thread on how to remove the cradle mount and what size male torx key is needed. I guess ultimately I'll need a whole kit, but for now just looking to take that off, so I can put my cell phone mount in its place.

4 screws under the nav v; torx 20 iirc. follow the power lead to the right side, brake side, under the triple tree and unplug

Cradle

I'm gonna try and remove mine next week,i have ordered a usb to plug into power outlet and going to attach a cradle for iPhone, let me know if you have any props,cheers.

Maybe I'm misreading you, but did you find an adapter that plugs into the *********** plug source for the Nav V and goes to a USB? If so, please supply the link?

Hope my fingers can fit down there to unplug. I ordered a torx kit yesterday. Will attempt when it arrives and post pics of my cell phone mounted there when complete.

I unplugged the two connections. Is there anything that plugs into the now void plug? I assumed no and put some electrical tape over it, to keep it clean.
