Has anyone successfully installed a Shindengen SH847 rectifier in a water cooled BMW 1200 GS?
If so, please share how you did it..

I believe I may have found a WINNER!!

RMSTATOR in Quebec Canada sells a series type rectifier and stators for various products.
Most are for snowmobiles and atv's but they fit many motorcycles. Mine included:

This series rectifier is same size as OEM BMW shunt rectifier so it should be a plug and play with no splicing or extending of wires.

Ordered one and will update when it arrives and is installed.

But I'd want more info on their specification: Minimum Charging Voltage: 14.5 V +- 0.5 V.

So 14.0 to 15.0V, but under what conditions? I'd like to see a graph of the charge voltage vs ambient temperature.

Presently, my 2016 R1200 GSA charges at 14.2V which is low for an AGM battery at the temperature I am riding in.

Kind of surprised that RMStator could not get back to me with any data.

I asked for Voltage vs Temperature plot and if they designed the system, they would have that.

For the AGM battery that comes factory fitted in the R1200 GSA LC, I would hope it is closer to the values in the following chart.
