2016 gsa after finishing a 2000 km ride I went to push the bike out to wash it and found no response to pushing the start button. No lights on the dash and can’t unlock the steering.
I have changed the battery in the fob several times the battery in the bike was brand new just prior to the ride and have tested and recharged to make sure. I have since had to remove the ignition switch to enable me to move the bike due to the steering lock and have now purchased a second hand ignition switch and refitted it.. now the dash lights up with the key not found lit top right corner Even with the key held under the rear guard sensor.
does this new ignition switch need to be coded in some way as I can’t use the analyser to check fault codes as there is no power to the ecu without the ignition being on.
