I'm considering upgrading the OEM windscreen on my R1250GS to a (11 cm) taller 43 cm version. It's still smaller than the 53 cm options from Wunderlich Marathon or Puig, but I believe it's about the same size as the stock screen on the GSA.

Q1 ❓ For those who've made a similar swap — did you install a reinforcement kit?
I'm curious if the added height puts noticeable stress on the mounting system or causes any flex at higher speeds.

Also, I’m unsure whether the GS and GSA use the same windscreen support structure.
Q2 ❓ Can anyone confirm if the mounting systems are identical or if there are differences that would affect stability or compatibility?
For Q1 - I am 6'5" and all of my height is in my torso so the stock windscreen was just aiming air at my head. I picked up:

Puig Touring Windscreen in LIGHT SMOKE - WITHOUT VISOR
Puig Reinforcement Kit For Touring Windscreen

and I mounted it all the way down and it is perfect!!! Judging to how the bike responds with it on highways when getting blasted, I would say the reinforcement kit is very wise. I could see it cracking without it on the mount points. I think the kit is $73 but likely worth it.
