Motorcycle Sport Touring Association Event in Spring Green, Wisconsin this weekend. For you guys I’ll post the photo with GS of the group in front.

 

Navajo Bridge near Marble Canyon Arizona. Old bridge on the left new bridge on the right. I have also driven over the old bridge.

 

BMW MOA national rally up in Lebanon TN this weekend, took a run up, good shakedown run for the GS on the interstate. Non eventful, lots of trade booths and plenty of BMWs to look over, quite a few other brand adv bikes also. 450 miles round trip, nice day.

 

325 miles for me, took 9 hours, started with a nice windy country route into the woods, then some solid two track, stirred up likely a 400 feral pig, that was a monster, then lunch and a SEBDR S3 run back towards home highlighted by a challenge to run my street tires on the hard route, it was an intense challenge! Great day😍. More than one pic though.

That's crazy to do that mud bog on slicks! With my ham fists I would have rooster tailed and sunk so deep I'd hit oil.

That is a great riding area we used to take that Extraterrestrial hwy from Tonopah NV often

 

The World Famous Clown Motel in Tonopah Nevada. My wife would never stay here even if it was the last place in town with a room. I have a low level of motel acceptance and last year I came across a motel that I would not stay in.

I imagine it was quite a zoo this time of the year. Did you take a run over to the Nevada side over Tioga Pass road? Should just be open now and it's pretty spectacular.

398 miles today, 125 were off road messing around on the SEBDR S6 section. Hadn’t ran it yet and it is intense, just nasty baby heads, so many sharp edged. it was a great run till near the end where a bridge was out, I didn’t check before leaving. I made the decision and it worked out even on the street tires 🤪. The machine is phenomenal, my KLR and Ktm could have done this ride but 6 hours on the highway on a GS is just awesome, I’m much fresher when I get in the woods than on the smaller bikes.

Couple days old, been busy with vacation honey dos….

KTM ride as riding partner wanted to full speed some black diamond level rock terrain, haven’t found the history on this abandoned covered bridge but col enough to share, crosses mump creek in Talladega county. Betcha there is some cool story there.
