I have one

I am using a C4 with the Sc1 bluetooth.
Disappointed with both the Sena and especially the helmet.

The SC1 keeps turning itself off, and i miss important calls. have tried updating it etc, but it makes no difference.

The helmet is probably the worst helmet i have used for a number of years.
I only bought it because the Nolan N104 i have used for years is no longer made, since Shark bought them out.

A big step backwards for me.

The C4 is noisy, nowhere near the noise levels promised in the blurb they use to sell them.
Water ingress into the inside of the viser is poor, and the tinted inner visor keeps popping out of those flimsy little tags that hold them in place.
Very disappointed with both

Get the C4 Basic, same as C4 Pro but not with comm equipment installed. I have that with PacTalk Bold and way better than my Shoei Neotec II with the Sena integrated sytem.

Ditto. I bought the C4 Pro x2 for my wife and I thinking its the best and the quietest. Wrong on both counts. We also bought SC1A's which were OK save the intercom which was beset by wind noise and drop outs. Moreover the sunshade on mine stopped working, that was fixed after a month away and then the SC1A battery connection started playing up, cutting off, refusing to restart despite any amount of packing and wiggling then restarting itself mid ride for a few minutes before disappearing again. Fortunately my dealer took the helmet back with a full refund after a little over a year of me trying to make the helmet and the SC1A work correctly. I swapped it for an X-Lite Carbon 1005 and the latest N-Com. It's the first time I've tried a Nolan product and so far I am impressed. Not only is it very comfortable but the N-Com 902X made by Sena is a great improvement on the SC1A, works with our remote RC3 and 4 and is much quieter than the Schuberth. So far so good, bye bye Schuberth.

The N-Com 902X, is very thin and actually far more practical than the Schuberth/Sena SC1A which is almost impossible to use without a remote control which we have, (Sena RC4 and 3) and which connecting quickly and reliably. There are no visible wires which enter the helmet via a factory made porthole sitting under the unit. Altogether this is well made and well designed. I have no hesitation in recommending it.

Have you adjusted to having the unit on the outside of the helmet?
