Smokey Mountain 500

Greetings riders. I am looking to ride the Smokey 500 next May and I have a couple questions some of you may be able to answer. Is there a place to find and download the latest, at least recent, GPX files for the ride? I have found older files (which should work) but to do that you have to be in their FaceBook community and I am not on FaceBook. Is there another place I can look? Thanks in advance.

Yep, tried that. It takes you to ADVrider where you can download the files IF you have a Facebook, twitter, or google+ account.

The "Download GPX" link at the end of post 1 on ADVrider allowed me to download it without Facebook, twitter, or google+ account. 🤔

Here's the file opened in GPX Viewer (android app running on a chromebook).

Quick question I will be doing the SM500 in August of 2024 was thinking of Starting and finishing in Blairsville staying at the copperhead lodge, Able to leave truck and trailer at there property Im a little uncertain of the 3 other towns to stay in during this trip and insight you can offer is greatly appreciated, there will be 3 of us arriving the 7th and starting on the 8th finishing on the 11th wanted to go Counter clock wise. thank you for any input thanks and Peace Mark

The SM 500 Facebook group is useful for advice and downloading the very latest GPX files. That is if you can stomach using FB.
