Just some advice needed, I need a top box for my 2011 registered 1200GS.
I'm confused with all the fittings and specifications out there. If anyone could advise thanks.

If you just have to have to [have to] have the Vario top box be prepared to open the wallet a lot wider. You’ll need the case and all the mounting kit with it. Parts list can be found on the BMW parts fiche. Google MaxBMW parts fiche and you’ll find it.

I just sold a Vario top box, mounting plate, and rear brace for $100. The buyer wa so happy he threw in a handle of Tito's

I also agree with Krons and would not look too much farther than the chineasium units Mr. Bezos offers. I have been using them for a few years now and am 110% satified.

As fara as fittign the top case. You will need to bolt the quick detach bracket to the grey luggage rack currently on your bike then th ecase will clip into the quick mount bracket. If you get a case ( like a Pelican 1550) w/o a quick detach bracket you will drill through the case matching holes in you luggage rack (existign or made) and bolt it directly to the luggage rack on your bike with come easily aquired hardware.
