Hi, maybe a stupid question but should the weep hole in the engine be clear or is there something inside it. I cleaned it lill bit and i noticed a lill bit of oil..

i pulled this thing out i don't think it belongs there and de buyer try to hide a damage..

It’s a weep hole for the water pump.

Looks like it might be a foam filter to help keep dust/debris out? The parts fiche may show it. MaxBMW has good diagrams.
