Thx for the updates and inputs.. 🙏. Base on my understanding from the info posted, if I'm riding an Asia model, I shd purchase the unit from Europe instead of US?

I don't think it matters where you buy it from - all of the units are currently the same and they are looking to fix the faults that occur with U.S. bikes. My understanding is that Asia models do not cause the faults in the unit, but that is an inference I took from discussions about my issue. You should definitely ask Koso.

Good luck - hope it works well for you as it's a great addition.

Unfortunately I ended up speaking to the office assistant who was a tad less knowledgeable on this topic than I'd like. I 'think' he was saying that the patch has been developed however their inventory has yet to be flashed with it and that it might be a couple of weeks. I've sent an email to a tech there asking for a more detailed response.

Test completed - Cruise Control works perfectly. In the pic, it's indicated by the little green speedometer symbol above the number 2.

BTW - the green shading around the "3" is there telling me to upshift. You can turn that off, vary the RPM that triggers it, or have it alert you with a bright red LED bar instead of this shading of the gear. Just didn't want anyone to think the shading had anything to do with the cruise control indicator.
Note that the ECOSFT feature is available in the stock setup.

Damn figures. I just traded my 2016 for 2023 R1250GS to get the TFT. The Koso would have been a lot cheaper.
This is what I am thinking, this option is cheaper than getting 1250. I took a test ride of 1250, good bike but not £4-5k better than my 2016 GS. The screen should bring both on same level as 2016 dash looks old, still provides you with enough info!

Have to say, very interesting topic, read over 5 pages in one go! :)
Please do keep us updated whoever gets it installed.

As the ‘possible’ re-release of the display draws near I had another read of the pdf and noticed that there was no mention of adjusting the Spring Preload which is a very important feature. The options cover riding modes and a Min Auto Max. Min Auto Max which is a D-ESA Spring Preload that was available for some 2017.5 bikes and then 2018 onward. It replaced the manual adjustment on the 2013-2017 which has the one helmet, helmet and luggage and two helmets icons on our OEM display. Unless KOSO has managed to write code to have the bike do the auto leveling, which is highly unlikely, I don’t see any options in their menu to adjust the spring preload as per the Owners Manual and in the absence of that it’s a deal breaker for me. Carrying a passenger or loaded for a trip without spring preload……? I’ve sent an email to KOSO concerning this but haven’t had a response.

I am loving my new 2023 GS. Glad I got it.

That terminology of Min Auto Max refers to Spring Preload adjustments which include the Auto Leveling (Auto) that were released on some 2017.5 models through the current production. This system took the place of the one helmet, helmet with luggage and two helmets which has been in place since 2013.

KOSO has put a lot of work into this product so I'm wondering if it's just an oversight on their part in calling the Preload settings by the new terms. The pdf does say that to go from min to auto and then to max you have to hold the 'shock absorber' button 3 seconds which is essentially what we have to do now to toggle through the different settings. The product including the pdf is done in Taiwan and this wouldn't be the only word or terms which are not written in English the way we're used to. If this is the case they need to edit it and refer to it as Spring Preload in the pdf and replace the Min Auto Max on the display to something that more closely resembles the settings on the 2013-2017 bikes.

It's too bad that an actual user of the RX-5 isn't available to confirm that by toggling through the min auto max the rear shock raised as it should for the Preload settings.

Now this still does not address the absence of the Soft Normal Hard settings that we have on the 2013-2017 D-ESA which are not on this display and as a result not available.

Sheesh....
